Achievements and the Pitfalls Inherent in the “One World” System.
“But you, Daniel, close and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” Daniel 12:4. The architects of this concept envision a future where global trade and commerce result in fewer restrictions on borders, allowing for the free movement of people and goods. They believe individuals should have the freedom to leave their home country and relocate to any other country where they would be treated as citizens. Existing international laws are expected to safeguard individual rights within this system. The architects argue that enabling the free movement of people is essential for improving living standards. However, some individuals may hesitate to leave their familiar surroundings for unfamiliar places. Those who choose not to relocate may miss the benefits of this global system.
The primary and most anticipated achievement of One World is the restoration of “One Humanity.” This concept implies that all members of humankind would share a common language with the same meanings and have unified thoughts. Before the event, known as the Tower of Babel, humanity operated as a single entity (Gen 11:1), fostering harmony among all. However, God determined that it would not be beneficial for humanity to function as one cohesive unit (Gen 11:9).
It is essential to differentiate between One Humanity and a united humanity. If achieved, One Humanity would possess remarkable power, driven by the ability for intelligent, unified decision-making. In contrast, a united humankind would lack such power. The laws that govern our universe unlock the extraordinary potential of One Humanity, which is why people strive to expand their knowledge and understanding of it.
Experts predict that human knowledge could soon double every hour. However, some experts caution that the rapid growth in human knowledge might pose a threat to our existence. Projections indicate that we could reach a dangerous level of knowledge by the year 2050. Nonetheless, self-surrendered believers need not be alarmed, as God has assured us through the Prophet Daniel that humanity will not become one, as stated in Daniel 2:43.
One of the many reasons for the initiative to create “One Humankind” is the capacity to solve complex problems. The urgent and productive exploration of our universe is of the utmost importance. Experts responsible for ensuring the long-term survival of humanity have determined that our best option is to locate another suitable planet in our galaxy. Consequently, technologically advanced countries have agreed to send a multinational team to the Alpha Centauri region, with a planned arrival by 2110. The round-trip is expected to take approximately 50 years, which means the journey must begin around 2085 to reach its destination by 2110, based on current propulsion technology. Currently, the trip is in the concept development phase.
In my assessment, humankind is striving to secure a promising future through its efforts and ingenuity, without reliance on God the Creator. However, only God can provide eternity for those who are with Him. The serious problems facing humanity can only be resolved with the Creator’s intervention, and that intervention may come sooner than we realize.
